Owner Biography
My life’s passion for home design began very young. In my free time outside of school and competitive sports, I would spend countless hours designing homes on my parents Mac. Although growing up in the Piedmont, it only took a few family trips to the Outer Banks and the Appalachian Mountains to appreciate the unmatched natural beauty that North Carolina has to offer.
After graduating from NC State University, my wife and I decided we wanted to move back to her hometown in the Outer Banks, Ocracoke. She was offered a teaching position at the school and I was offered the opportunity to run the local surf shop. During my years running the surf shop, I was also able to pursue my passion for home design by working with locals on renovations and home design projects. Those successful experiences are what prompted me to start my own home design business, MB Home Designs.

Inspired by the natural beauty of North Carolina, from the coastline of the Outer Banks to the Great Smokies, I partner with architects from these areas specializing in high-end custom builds. My precise, high-quality CAD visualizations allow clients to fully experience and understand every detail of their design before construction begins, bringing the architect’s vision vividly to life.
My goal is to help architects who don’t have a dedicated visualization team bring their custom builds to life. Using CAD renderings, I create immersive visuals that allow clients to fully experience each design before construction begins. These visualizations serve as a powerful tool, helping clients understand and connect with the project while freeing architects to focus on what they do best—designing. Most of my work is completed remotely to keep costs down, with on-site visits for larger or more complex projects to ensure every detail is captured perfectly.

Born and raised in North Carolina and having built my life in the Outer Banks, I have a deep love for the natural beauty of both the coast and the mountains.
